Temporary home from Flat Manager

After we managed to convince the government not to adopt restrictive regulations on our activities, we faced another, far more dangerous challenge - COVID-19. The pandemic is having an unprecedented negative effect on the economy of all countries in the world, and tourism is among the most affected sectors. Our team cannot change the course of these events, but we are doing our best to minimize the lost revenue of our customers, strictly following the measures against the spread of the virus and helping the public as much as we can. What are we doing?

We have released free access to the www.flataway.eu platform, which until now was mainly used by our corporate clients for employee accommodation. While the pandemic lasts, our apartments in Bulgaria and Romania will be offered through FlatAway for temporary accommodation to anyone who does not wish to live with older relatives as a preventive measure.

People who are forced to work from home but prefer to do it in peace also stay in a temporary home. The internet is full of clips of people on video conference calls with children running behind them, and sometimes there are more striking backgrounds. On the positive side, some people have a sense of humor about the situation - we received a joking inquiry from a man who asked us to save his marriage by providing him with a place to stay for a few weeks. 

We have significantly reduced the nightly prices, and for longer stays the price is similar to that of a long-term rental. We do not take commission from renters even for bookings for 5-6 months. No one has foreseen such an expense in their budget, and many people need a temporary home.

The apartments are fully furnished and equipped, equipped with self-check-in methods, disinfected regularly, and documentation and payments are completely online, making check-in safe.

Flat Manager also launched another type of service – management of apartments that are rented out traditionally. We offer landlords to take overall care of their properties, which includes repairing damage, collecting rents, following up on utility bill payments and apartment inspections. Tenants will have access to a 24-hour concierge service, through which they can order cleaning, laundry, handyman and other services. More information can be found on our updated website here.

Flat Manager continues to work in full, but remotely. Our operational teams are equipped with protective equipment and follow all the recommendations of the Ministry of Health when visiting the apartments. The cleaning teams of all our subcontractors disinfect the apartments with special preparations for the purpose.

The situation with the virus is extremely dynamic and we do not know what new troubles await us tomorrow. The only constant remains our team – we stay positive, adapt and work harder than ever to overcome this challenge as well as we can. We are going to make it!
