This event is light years ahead of SpaceX's historic launch 2 weeks ago, which ushered in a new era in spaceflight. However, for our great team at Flat Manager, the launch of FlatAway 2.0 is a great achievement and a key moment in our development. Our ambition is to one day be the SpaceX of real estate management.
What was FlatAway 1.0?
The first version of FlatAway was a property catalog that we sent to our corporate clients and regular guests. During the pandemic, we transformed it as part of the Temporary Home initiative, which enabled people to book apartments for quarantine, self-isolation and work.
FlatAway 1.0 served us well and helped us survive the crisis; thanks to FlatAway 2.0 we will come out of the crisis as winners.
What is the difference between FlatAway 2.0 and other online booking platforms?
For starters, FlatAway is not a platform. We do not connect home owners with travelers. All properties are hosted by the Flat Manager and our teams in Bulgaria and Romania (soon also in other countries). Wherever guests stay, they will always have Alex, our virtual concierge, ready to answer any question or request.
What else?
- Free of charge. Airbnb takes between 12% and 18% commission from guests, FlatAway takes 0%.
- Cheaper. You may find our properties on other sites, but the price in FlatAway it will always be lower.
- Clean. We have built our own software and mobile application, through which we monitor in real time the quality cleaning of the properties. So we are sure that the apartments are prepared according to Flat Manager hygiene standards.
- No viruses. Currently, in addition to standard disinfectants, we also use special nanotechnology that forms an antiviral and antibacterial layer on all surfaces. The technology has received the Innovation of the Year 2019 award in Germany. The product is called Liquid Guard and is manufactured by Nano-Care Deutschland AG. - Digitally. The whole process is online and in most cases you don't need to meet anyone even during check-in. You browse, reserve an apartment, check in online, receive a digital guide with check-in instructions and go to the apartment. Fast, easy, secure.
- Services. All properties in FlatAway have fast, reliable, unlimited and of course free internet. The apartments are fully equipped down to the last detail. Guests can contact Alex and order additional cleaning, airport transfers or a welcome surprise with wine and chocolate. We love a challenge, so we encourage guests to write to us with any requests and ideas, we will do our best to ensure a great stay.
- Security. Payments in FlatAway is done through Stripe - a global leader in the sector whose services are used by companies such as Airbnb and Uber. Your personal data is safe and only shared with authorities in accordance with the law.
- Wide range. FlatAway not a tourist accommodation site. Business travelers, digital nomads, officials, medium-term and long-term tenants also stay in our properties. Our apartments are even used for filming videos, shows and commercials.
Will there be a FlatAway 3.0?
3, 4, 5…no limits. FlatAway 3.0 will be the equivalent of the "S" series in iPhones - the main goal of the third version will be to clear possible problems indicated by users; a section with help information and frequently asked questions will be added; we will further automate the online check-in process and improve the user experience with design changes.
The most exciting project for version 3.0 is the ability for users to earn from FlatAway.
