9 tips to be more productive at home (part II)

Social isolation continues and we are all adapting to the situation little by little. We hope our tips are useful to you, because it's time for the next portion:

5. Take regular breaks

Whether we work from home, the office, or wherever, it's extremely important that we don't work for hours without a break. It would be much more useful to pretend 5 minute breaks at 25-30 minute intervals, in which to clear our brains and digest what has been done so far. During short breaks, it's nice to get moving, go out on the terrace for some fresh air and some vitamin D, play with your pet and generally do something that isn't related to work and screens. We must not forget about a longer break of 30-45 minutes to an hour, in which we have enough time to unload, eat or do something else that will give us energy.

6. Avoid total social isolation

Yes, we can't physically meet our friends and colleagues right now, but we still need social contacts to feel good. The good thing is that we live in a time where we can very easily hear and see each other with our loved ones, albeit online. Therefore, we must take advantage of this opportunity. We can every day conduct video chat with colleagues and friends, because that would bring the contact closer to the physical one. Also, there are many sites and apps where we can make group calls and play games so that we can even now have fun together. It would make home isolation much more tolerable and cheer us up on days when boredom interferes with even concentration at work.

7. Don't forget to move

Working from home is tied to a great lack of movement. Regardless of whether we drive when we walk to work, we will still need to get from the parking lot to the building, get to the floor, etc. When we are at home, however, this part of our day is not present. That's why it's important to get used to or moving at certain time intervals, or doing short workouts every day, and preferably both. Otherwise, we don't expend energy and our body becomes immobile. And we know that when we don't feel well physically, it affects both mentally and psychologically - it's no coincidence that they say "a healthy mind in a healthy body".

8. Set boundaries

Just because we work from home doesn't mean we work 24/7. Just like when we are in the office, we carve out the time of our day for work and determine the end of our work day according to the duties we have. At home, we have the privilege of working at our most convenient time, if the nature of the work allows it, even if it is at night, but we must not allow ourselves to work incessantly without drawing boundaries between when we rest and engage in our personal lives and when we work.

These are our basic hacks that can help anyone increase their productivity while working from home. One of the advantages of the situation we are in now is that we have the opportunity to get used to working in a place other than our office and it does not negatively affect our results.

And a bonus tip – sometimes a change of scenery can do wonders for our creativity and mood. Reserve your TEMPORARY HOME at: https://flataway.eu/
